Gazprom EP International B.V.

Gazprom EP International B.V. (Gazprom Exploration & Production International B.V., formerly Gazprom Netherlands B.V.), a wholly owned subsidiary of OAO Gazprom, is involved in exploration, acquisition, integration, and further management of international oil and gas assets.

Gazprom EP International B.V. operates projects in Africa (Libya, Algeria, Nigeria, Namibia) and Latin America (Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil).

Gazprom EP International’s project portfolio is composed primarily of exploration stage and production assets as well as projects related to providing services for the oil and gas industry.

Short history

Gazprom EP International B.V. was established on May 2, 2007 as a special arm of Gazprom beyond Russia and the CIS. The initial name of the company was Gazprom Netherlands B.V.

Mission

The mission of Gazprom EP International is dedicated to assisting OAO Gazprom with its transformation into a global energy company, bearing a presence in key regions of oil and gas production.

Chronicle

• January – April 2008 – Gazprom’s assets in Libya and Latin America consolidated
• May 2008 – a Nigerian subsidiary company Gazprom Oil and Gas Nigeria Ltd. established
• January 2009 – the farm-in agreement on the ongoing exploration and production project in Algeria signed
• June 2009 – documents with the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR) signed
• July 2009 – the company renamed into Gazprom EP International B.V.
